In one of the latest brutality it is claimed by local officials in Ghor province of Afghanistan the Taliban militant group skinned a young man alive.
It is said the 21-year-old Ahmad was dragged from his house by the militant group and his eyes was cut out in retaliation. He was alive and screamed. The Talibani carved the skin of his chest thereafter. With his exposed heart he was finally thrown off a 10-story cliff.
Ghor is remote area of Afghanistan.
The Taliban however has denied any such involvement.
The officials said 15-year war now has taken a more brutal turn. The fight has now become a crime against humanity, a crime against people, and a crime against Afghanistan, said somber Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
United States has invested a lot since 2001 in Afghanistan to build up the military, the police force, schools and also judicial system.
However, the efforts didn’t succeed and violence in Afghanistan is still not new. Public executions are common in the areas ruled by the Taliban.
