Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton tweeted more people would have been killed in the Las Vegas shooting if the gunman used silencer.
She added the grief is not enough and politics should be put aside to stand up to the NRA to make easier to gun bill that is currently making way through the House.
Authorities found a cache of weapons including ten riffles from the room of Mandalay Bay hotel on the 32nd floor from where the gunman opened fire at the music festival crowded by about 20,000 people.
Police officers have not yet confirmed whether silencers were found among the weapons cache.
Hillary Clinton had earlier brought up the need for tougher gun control laws when she was campaigning for the presidential election in 2016.
“The Hearing Protection Act” was introduced by Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-South Carolina citing she has been suffering hearing loss after growing up hunting without suppressors or earmuffs.
President Donald Trump’s eldest son too is supporter of silencers among many. He is an avid hunter and in 2016 he also appeared in a video for SilencerCo.
A recent survey reveals more than half of the Americans are in support of more strict gun laws.
